Time off benefits for this position include: Sick Pay 1 hour for every 30 hours Position Overview: JFS is looking for three compassionate, mission-driven individuals to join the Economic Mobility and Opportunity team as Enrollment Specialists supporting the Economic Mobility and Opportunity Guaranteed Income Project. In this role, you will be supporting research-based, direct cash assistance programs that are innovating the way we address the experience of poverty. The goal of our programs is to craft a cohesive regional narrative about the power of flexible financial investments in families in policy and practice. In this critical role, you have the opportunity to use your community-service skills to provide a client-centered experience for families participating in our programs. The Enrollment Specialist plays an integral role on the team and supports the entire agency by helping to acclimate participating families to the programs through counseling, orientation, and enrollment services. This position will also address participant needs as they arise and support with data entry and scheduling. These positions report directly to the Director of Economic Mobility and Opportunity. Responsibilities: Schedule and lead in-person and virtual onboarding sessions with pilot participants Conduct counseling on various aspects of the programs and enroll participants into the programs Respond promptly to participant inquiries about the project and onboarding process Communicate with participants via phone and email Keep records of participant interactions, comments, and questions about the programs Communicate and coordinate onboarding sessions with colleagues as necessary Provide feedback on the efficiency of the onboarding process Ensure participant satisfaction and provide professional support Travel to offsite locations to provide above services Skills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have: Comfort with contributing to newer programs, and developing and trying new ideas Reliable, self-starter, detail-oriented and initiates hard work without being prompted Must be available to work evenings and possibly weekends, with a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of participants Comfort with public speaking and presenting to groups Ability to utilize virtual meeting platforms and scheduling programs Comfortable using computers Experience working with customer support or onboarding for social service programs Bi-lingual (English/Spanish or other) preferred Cultural competency to understand and navigate cultural differences present in the programs service population Valid CA driver's license, a clean driving record, insurance, a reliable personal vehicle, and a willingness to travel offsite Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
