Shipping And Receiving Coordinator
Integrated Power Services (IPS) is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator for our Indiana, Pennsylvania Service Center. As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator for IPS you will be responsible for physical and transactional incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying and storing records and loading and unloading trucks. This person will work with other employees and departments to resolve shipping and receiving matters. Also, this position is responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly disassemble components. Additional responsibilities include: Prepares shipments for postal or commercial conveyance; determines most economical and efficient shipping method; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments Inspects shipments for damages or defects Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates proof of delivery May maintain department database, prepare routine reports, and file shipping/receiving records Assign and maintain inventory levels Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned Qualifications and Competencies: Excellent organizational and time management skills Records maintenance skills preferred Inventory management preferred Good computer skills Use a computer to process FedEx and UPS small package shipments Use a computer to process LTL (pallet shipments) Ability to work occasional overtime Ability to lift, push or pull items up to 70 lbs. in weight Proven ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. Ability to receive, track, and distribute materials, supplies, and equipment Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork Unloading customer material from Crates, pallets and other shipping containers Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Ability and knowledge to safely use basic hand tools You'll thrive at IPS if you...
