Honolulu, HI (On-Site/Office) SME-Level Security Control Assessor
TEKsystems is seeking a SME-level Security Control Assessor. This role will serve as the primary interface with the AO, QAE, and the PACAF Leadership. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Develop the overall RMF assessment strategy. Approve Security Assessment Plans (SAPs). Perform final review/sign off of SAR, RAR, and POA&M artifacts before submission. Interpret ambiguous compliance requirements and advise on policy exceptions. Lead briefings (in-briefs, out-briefs, RAWG updates). Coach senior SCA and program teams, ensuring consistent methodology. Provide authoritative risk recommendations to the AO. Basic required qualifications and skills: Bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited institution. Minimum of 10+ years of experience within a senior-level security environment, supporting DoD or joint commands. At start date, must possess one or more of the following certifications in active status: SecurityX - Formerly known as CASP CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional (or Associate) GSLC GIAC Security Leadership certification Advanced experience with: Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) Risk Management Framework (RMF) NIST guidelines Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Proven ability to: Exercise discretion and independent judgment when handling situational occurrences. Provide technical support across secure and non-secure networks. Work with senior leaders in a Joint Operations Center, demonstrating polished technical skills and a professional mindset. Desired qualifications and skills: Master's degree in related discipline from an accredited institution. Possess any of the following certifications in active status: CAP - Certified Authorization Professional GIAC Global Information Assurance Certification CISM Certified Information Security Manager 12+ years of experience within a senior-level security environment, supporting DoD or joint commands. Experience working in SOC, interfacing with General Officers and other senior leadership.
