Construction Project Engineer

Construction Project Engineer Education: 4 Year Degree Environmental Engineer Actual Field Experience: 10 years of working remedial action projects. Must have OSHA 40 HAZWOPER training, NYSDEC training, SWPPP training, and CERCLA training. Direct Hourly Salary: $70/hr. - $75/hr., dependent on education, experience level, skillset, and benefit package selected. Rates will vary. Position Location: Lockport, New York Computer Knowledge: Familiarity with USACE RMS, Procore, ProjNet, Suretrak, or Ebuilder. Proficiency with Excel, Word, PDFs, Microsoft Projects, Primavera, AutoCAD. Program Knowledge: Familiarity with USACE EM 385-1-1 and UFC requirements is a plus. Previous Employment Exposure: US Army, NAVFAC, DOD installations a plus. Work Duration: Full-time, 5 days/week, 8 hours/day. 80% field work, 20% reporting to project management. Day-to-Day Construction Responsibilities: Prepare QA reports, perform site surveys, document inspections, monitor QC tests, maintain punch lists, observe testing and inspection activities, interpret drawings and specs, document construction with photos/videos, ensure safety compliance, review QC reports, prepare minutes, monitor supply chain, observe startup and commissioning activities. Other Qualifications: Good written and oral communication skills, support planning and procurement, organizational skills for document management, provide owner oversight, liaise between owner and contractors, perform quality inspections.
