Material Planner II
The Material Planner II is responsible for managing complex material planning activities to ensure efficient supply chain operations. This role involves analyzing demand trends, optimizing inventory levels, and working with key stakeholders to enhance supply chain performance. A strong understanding of supply chain principles and industry certifications are preferred for this role. Travel: Expected travel to Calgary, Canada for the first 2 months of training. This may be rotational and schedule will be worked out on an individual basis. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute material planning strategies to meet production and customer demand. Utilize forecasting tools and analytics to manage inventory levels and reduce excess or obsolete stock. Partner with suppliers to negotiate delivery schedules and improve lead times. Lead initiatives to improve material flow efficiency and reduce supply chain risks. Support cost reduction and process improvement projects within the supply chain. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices. Train and mentor junior material planners. Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or procurement. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and data analysis skills. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Ideal Qualifications: APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar supply chain certification. Modine is an equal opportunity employer.
