Job Description: We are seeking a
Senior GCP Cloud Architect
to lead the design, implementation, and governance of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions in a global enterprise environment. This is a hands-on architectural role requiring deep technical expertise, leadership in cloud transformation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum:
7+ years in cloud architecture and enterprise solutions. Preferred:
10+ years including large-scale cloud transformations. Preferred Industry Background:
Regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
Technical Skills: Architecture & Design:
Enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman). Cloud-native and microservices architectures. Multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments. API design and integration. Security and compliance architecture. Data architecture and analytics frameworks. Platform & Infrastructure:
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) / GitOps methodologies. Containers (Kubernetes, Docker) & Serverless platforms. Network and security design. Disaster recovery & business continuity planning. Cloud cost optimization (FinOps). Cloud migration strategy & execution.
GCP Expertise (Required): Core Services (Expert Level):
Compute:
GCE, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions. Storage & Databases:
Cloud SQL, Spanner, Bigtable, Firestore, BigQuery. Networking:
VPC, Interconnect, Cloud DNS, Cloud Armor. Security:
IAM, Org Policies, VPC Service Controls. Analytics:
BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Data Fusion.
Advanced GCP Capabilities:
Landing zone design. Organization/project hierarchy setup. Advanced networking (Shared VPC, Peering, Interconnects). Identity federation & hybrid connectivity. Compliance & governance automation. Multi-region/data residency planning.
Certifications (Required):
Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
(Must Have) Preferred:
Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer AWS / Azure equivalent certifications
Leadership & Soft Skills:
Proven leadership in technical team management and architecture reviews Strong communication and presentation skills, especially with C-level stakeholders Business and ROI understanding Experience in vendor/cloud provider relationship management Familiarity with compliance standards: SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc. Client-facing consulting and stakeholder engagement experience
