This includes driving product adoption with DOTs, municipal agencies, and paving contractors, while enabling distributor partners to expand sales. The role involves proactive pipeline development, technical support, training, and field engagement to increase Tensar's share of the pavement preservation and rehabilitation market.What You'll DoDevelop and execute a business development plan focused on transportation, private development, commercial projects and civil constructionCultivate and manage strategic relationships with major engineering firms, DOTs, and construction companies.Researches and develops a pipeline of qualified prospective customers and communicates with them with the goal of converting them from potential customer to current customerAct as a liaison between Tensar' s engineering department and the client to maximize efficiency and effectivenessIdentify market needs and customer problems that may translate into new technologies, features or services for CMCResponsible for generating sales leads, managing and tracking key projects and communicating project status via monthly reportsTrain, educate, and provide technical support to distributors and provide job site assistance as requiredCommunicate local competitive activities and development of pricing strategies with Area Manager and NA Commercial Director on an ongoing basis.Identify potential third-party installation partners for implementation of our project solutions.Participate in project meetings and site activities at all project stages (feasibility through construction).Represent Tensar Engineered Solutions on assigned jobsites during installation and ensure installation is being performed as designedAssisting with field installationsEngineering support and troubleshooting during field construction.Travel to regional locations to support licensees and region engineers with promotional activities and technical/operational support.What You'll NeedMinimum 2 years work experience in the construction industryMinimum 2 years sales experience preferred with knowledge of construction related products a plusKnowledge of Tensar's Systems and ProductsStrong communication Skills (verbal, written, listening) including ability to communicate effectively with all levels or organizationAbility to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external vendor partners.Ability to work independently and with a team, detail oriented, interpersonal and negotiation skills and customer relations abilitiesAbility to travel regionally between 25% - 50% of the timeYour EducationBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience preferredPE (Professional Engineer) License is a plusWe are CMC, a Fortune 500® company at the leading edge of our industry.
