Senior Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) Specialist Water Heater & Water Filtration We are seeking a strategic, insights-driven, and highly experienced Senior Consumer & Market Insights Specialist to lead consumer and market research across our Water Heater and Water Filtration categories. This role is suited for a proactive research professional with a strong background in appliances and a deep understanding of both B2B and B2C dynamics. You will own the full lifecycle of research initiativesfrom scoping to execution to insight activationand serve as a key voice in shaping business decisions. The ideal candidate combines hands-on research expertise with the ability to influence product, marketing, and innovation strategies through data-driven storytelling and cross-functional leadership. Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and execution of strategic research programs across B2B and B2C audiences. Define research roadmaps aligned with category priorities and innovation pipelines. Lead development of research materials including discussion guides, screeners, surveys, and questionnaires. Lead high-impact qualitative and quantitative studies including focus groups, IDIs, ethnographic research, field testing, and workshops. Insight Development & Strategic Impact Synthesize complex data from multiple sources into clear, actionable business insights. Influence business and product strategy through compelling, insight-driven recommendations. Drive critical initiatives such as market segmentation, pricing analysis, brand positioning, and new product validation. Deliver executive-ready reports and facilitate insights-driven decision-making at leadership levels. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Serve as the strategic research partner for product, marketing, design, and innovation teams. Act as the primary CMI point of contact for China-based product development teams and other cross-regional partners. Present findings to a range of audiences, from technical stakeholders to senior leadership, ensuring insights are relevant and clearly communicated. Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure insights are integrated into roadmaps and go-to-market plans. Manage multiple complex research projects concurrently, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and performance management to ensure research excellence. Explore and implement innovative research methodologies and tools to elevate insights quality. Proactively identify emerging trends and translate them into business opportunities. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Market Research, Psychology, Human Factors, UX, Business, or a related field; Masters degree preferred. 7+ years of professional experience leading and executing both qualitative and quantitative research, preferably within the consumer appliances or durable goods sectors. Proven track record of influencing cross-functional decision-making through data-driven insights. Advanced proficiency with research platforms such as My-Take, Quantilope, Prodege, or similar tools. Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience overseeing multi-market or complex research initiatives. Excellent storytelling abilities, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. Confident in presenting to executive audiences and facilitating strategic discussions. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor peers and manage stakeholder expectations. Highly adaptable and resourceful in fast-paced, matrixed environments. Benefits
