U.S. - West Coast - REMOTE About the Role We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Vice President, Biotech Business Development Commercial to lead our global biotech partnership organization. This executive-level position will play a critical role in building and managing enterprise-level relationships with emerging and established biotech companies, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise, exceptional executive presence, and a proven ability to drive growth through innovative commercial and development strategies. Key Responsibilities Lead a global team of Business Development and Sales Development professionals, setting strategic direction and ensuring successful execution of partnership initiatives. Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy across the biotech portfolio to drive revenue growth and long-term market leadership. Serve as a key advisor to C-suite executives internally and externally, guiding strategic decisions and building high-level partnerships. Provide executive oversight for major biotech relationships, acting as the escalation point for complex initiatives and negotiations. Represent the organization as a thought leader in the biotech space at industry events and executive forums. Oversee resource planning, budgeting, and performance optimization across the biotech team. Align cross-functional teams to maximize the impact of strategic partnerships across the commercial organization. Contribute to overall commercial leadership strategy and business direction. Qualifications 20+ years of progressive experience in biotech or pharmaceutical commercial leadership, with direct responsibility for global partnerships. Proven success in managing high-performing teams and developing senior leaders. Strong business acumen and financial oversight, including P&L ownership. Deep understanding of biotech commercialization models and therapeutic development strategies. Experience leading high-stakes negotiations and influencing board-level decisions. Outstanding communication and presentation skills with executive-level stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications MBA or relevant advanced degree. Experience with biotech M&A and complex partnership structures. Global leadership experience in matrixed organizations. Track record of industry engagement through conferences or published thought leadership.
