Food Service Worker

We are seeking a Food Service Worker to support Terrestris Global Solutions' ground operations in Los Alamitos, CA. This work is to be conducted on weekends from 4:00 AM to 11:00 AM. As the Food Service Worker you will be responsible for assisting catering services personnel in the preparing, serving, and distributing of food to customers or clients in a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. A typical day for the Food Service Worker will include: Assisting in transporting prepared food into dining facilities from delivery vehicles. Conducting light food preparation (slicing of fresh fruits and vegetables, etc.). Serving food to customers in a cafeteria-type setting. Assisting in the transportation of trays and service equipment from dining facilities to delivery vehicles. Conducting general clean-up and sanitation of food service areas. Assisting in the removal of refuse from dining facilities and transportation to approved receptacles. What qualifications do you look for? Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship. A High School Diploma or equivalent. Current ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain before work commences. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or kitchen work. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills for portioning and serving. Physically able to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
