Firefighter-Paramedic
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Firefighter-Paramedic to join our fire department. Under the direction of the Fire Chief, this position is responsible for responding to emergency calls for service including: fires, emergency medical incidents, rescue problems, hazardous materials spills, and other emergencies to protect life and property. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency medicine, patient care, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties listed below are representative of the responsibilities for this position, but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed. Responds to fire, medical, rescue, and other emergency calls. Performs firefighting, rescue, and hazardous materials operations; operates all necessary equipment in accordance with department standards. Provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency medical care to individuals involved in accidents, injuries, and sudden illnesses. Participates in fire prevention activities, pre-fire planning, public education programs, community outreach, and hydrant inspections. Operates and maintains fire apparatus, pumps, and related equipment. Conducts routine inspections, maintenance, and cleaning of apparatus, equipment, and fire station facilities. Supports departmental goals and objectives, including assigned collateral duties. Works a 48-hour shift schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime as required.
