Advance Colgates mission and strategic priorities by fostering long-term, meaningful alumni engagement and philanthropic participation that align with the Universitys goals. Provide strategic oversight for the annual giving program, focusing on best practices, sustaining and growing alumni donor participation and unrestricted support through campaigns, data-driven segmentation, and compelling messaging. Position alumni engagement and annual giving as University-wide priorities, coordinating engagement with campus partners and solicitation efforts across all alumni populations. Collaborate with University leadership, faculty, and campus stakeholders to develop and implement strategic alumni engagement and giving strategies. Expand and enhance alumni volunteer leadership, identifying alumni for roles on and off campus; maintain a diverse and robust pipeline of volunteers. Develop and execute a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy adaptable to emerging trends and evolving priorities. Oversee programs that foster connections through affinity groups, intellectual and regional initiatives, and Colgate Professional Networks. Lead development and implementation of marketing and communications strategies for alumni engagement and annual giving opportunities. Serve as the primary University liaison to the Alumni Council, including Executive Secretary duties. Provide leadership and oversight for the alumni engagement and annual giving teams, including recruitment, mentorship, professional development, and performance feedback. Manage departmental budgets in alignment with University policies and priorities. Oversee Reunion Weekend and participate in planning other signature events such as Homecoming and related programs. Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in higher education, including at least five years in progressive management roles overseeing alumni engagement and/or advancement. Strong familiarity with annual giving programs, including strategy development, donor acquisition and retention, volunteer-driven fundraising, and results-oriented goal setting. Demonstrated ability to inspire, mobilize, and sustain meaningful alumni participation in giving and/or engagement. Strategic and leadership skills with deep understanding of alumni engagement and annual giving best practices and trends. Exceptional relationship-building skills and the ability to engage effectively with alumni, faculty, University leadership, and stakeholders. Strong collaboration and communication skills with track record of cross-team work. Data-driven mindset with ability to use metrics and analytics to measure engagement and fundraising effectiveness, optimize resources, and manage budgets. Willingness to travel extensively and maintain connections with alumni regionally and nationally. Collaborative, collegial, high-integrity leadership style with strong work ethic and sound judgment. Appreciation for Colgates history and mission, with ability to articulate impact to diverse audiences. Desire to engage fully with the University and local community. Education
