Founded in 1927, the Vantage group employs over 900 staff in multiple locations across the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom.RequirementsWe are searching for a candidate with:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 3-5 years experience operating autofold, laser, press brake/turret or other metal fabrication toolsGood knowledge of fabrication machinery, electrical equipment, and hand toolsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and designsOutstanding attention to detail and ability to multi-taskAbility to use tape measures and other measuring toolsRead and understand work orders and job schedulesMust be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug testMust be able to effectively read, write and speak the English languageAbility to frequently bend, twist, grip, squat and liftAbility to lift 50 pounds frequently, & lift 70 pounds occasionallyDuties and ResponsibilitiesA typical day may include: Safe operation of autofold, press brake, shear and various other tools used to complete project.Create quality and accurate cuts/bends/folds according to blueprints.Cut and label all sheet metal for jobs on the floor. Use welding and other metal processing equipment a plus.Use measuring equipment such as tape measure, micrometer, calipers, square, protractor, etc...Performs basic math and verifies job requirements, specifications, and maintains quality standards.
