Mechanical Design Engineer
Join a close-knit, family-owned company with decades of experience designing and building custom industrial equipment. We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who enjoys hands-on engineering, problem-solving, and being part of a collaborative team. In this role, you'll design mechanical assemblies, automation systems, and components for precision manufacturing machines. Key Responsibilities: Design mechanical components, tooling, and sub-systems for precision drilling and automation equipment Perform mechanical analysis (bearings, drive systems, torque, structural integrity) Develop AutoCAD drawings for assemblies, installations, and schematics Design hydraulic and pneumatic systems Specify purchased components and create BOMs for manufacturing Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal teams (fabrication, machining, assembly) Prepare documentation including O&M manuals and layout revisions Requirements: BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field 25 years' experience in industrial or manufacturing equipment design Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong mechanical drafting skills Solid understanding of mechanical systems and component selection Strong communication skills and hands-on mindset Benefits: Full benefits package: health, life, 401(k), PTO, holidays, disability Hybrid schedule: 12 remote days per week If you're ready to make an impact in a supportive and innovative environment, we'd love to hear from you.
