Position: HIV/STI Program Manager Position Type: Full-Time (Hybrid Schedule) Location: Sacramento, CA Compensation:$4800-$5280 MonthlyApplication Deadline: September 10th, 2025 The general and specific job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Program/Event Coordination/Health Education: Expand trans-competent and culturally competent HIV awareness and prevention services, especially focused on supporting Black and Brown Trans Women. Create interactive, informative, and engaging educational content to be posted on social media and shared in GHCs monthly newsletter aimed to enhance HIV awareness and education.Create engaging and intentionally developed programming for larger events such as:National Transgender HIV Testing DayNor Cal AIDS Cycle Fundraiser (NCAC)World AIDS Day Testing & Linkage to CareMaintain and expand existing culturally responsive HIV/STI testing services for trans community members, with an emphasis on Black and Brown Trans Women of Color Manage all aspects of PrEP enrollment services including communications with the California Department of Public HealthDevelop and implement streamlined HIV/STI screening and referral process across organizational departmentsCreate linkage to HIV/STI external medical care and streamlined direct referral processes Distribute and educate about free safer sex supplies to program participants during onsite and outreach eventsCommunity Engagement, Outreach, & CollaborationDevelop collaborative community partnerships with long standing and new partners Build and maintain relationships with local organizations, healthcare providers, and community stakeholders to enhance HIV/STI program effortsAttend coalition meetings
Conduct outreach and educational sessions to promote HIV/STI education, prevention, and testing within queer and trans communities, especially centering queer and trans BIPOC communities
Be a vocal and visible leader within the Sacramento and Northern California regionsAdministrativeGather demographic information and critical data from consenting program participants with sensitivity, confidentiality, and careOrganize data and complete monthly data reports on testing and completed referralsAttend staff gatherings, strategic planning or training required by funded initiative as determined by the Director of Healthcare ServicesRequired Qualifications
Familiarity with transgender and gender diverse HIV/STI healthcare needs and barriersExperience working with Trans Women of Color Strong program coordination and collaboration skills Familiarity with culturally attuned careStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively, non-judgmentally and compassionately with diverse people, including unhoused people and people who use drugsMission-driven, proactive, and self-directedAbility to complete projects from start to finishDesired Qualifications
Background and experience in public health and harm reduction services Certification as a HIV testing counselor or phlebotomist, experience providing testing and counseling services to QTBIPOCLived experience navigating trans health within medical systems Fundraising experience Case management experience Knowledge of local resources and services related to HIV/STI testing and prevention as it relates to QTBIPOC communitiesAn understanding of and a commitment to dismantling HIV/STI stigma Data management experienceBilingual or multilingual oral and written proficiency is an asset, we especially utilize Spanish in our work Employment Hours, Term, and Compensation
