The Residential Manager position is an exempt, essential role responsible for the general operation of the residence, supervising staff, and maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment that fosters growth and independence for the people we support. Essential Job Functions

Residential Operations Responsibilities: Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the residential facility. Implement policies and procedures established by AABR, Inc. Ensure compliance with government regulations and established procedures. Supervise and monitor residential staff performance. Maintain programmatic, fiscal, and billing records per regulatory standards. Ensure accurate and timely billing data and submission of required plans and reports. Oversee implementation of program plans and documentation in client records. Communicate effectively with supervisors and administrators about issues. Recognize crises and utilize appropriate support services. Develop staffing schedules and ensure safe staffing ratios. Assist with coverage and administer medication upon certification. Review and ensure documentation meets standards. Coordinate with facilities management for repairs and issues. Conduct emergency drills and document appropriately. Complete incident/injury reports and work with QA team. Manage personal allowances and household shopping. Coordinate recreational activities and community relationships.

Staff Supervision & Communication

Conduct staff meetings and provide coaching, mentoring, and training. Create a collaborative and positive work environment. Supervise DSPs, Assistant Managers, and Shift Supervisors. Implement behavior support plans and ensure staff training is up to date. Handle staff issues and evaluations. Coordinate medical appointments and maintain communication with clinical staff. Schedule and provide staff training. Manage payroll and overtime within budget. Participate in management meetings and training.

Incident Management / Human Rights Responsibilities

Implement incident procedures and collaborate on investigations. Prepare incident summaries and reports within required timeframes. Protect consumer rights and participate in program planning and Human Rights Committee.

Other Functions

Respect all individuals and participate in training and seminars. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Human Services or 5 years supporting individuals with disabilities; 2 years supervisory experience required. Valid drivers license and background clearance required. Effective communication skills and ability to assist with lifting individuals. Certification in Medication Administration, First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R required. Ability to drive and transport passengers preferred.
