Job Summary:
The Adult Education Data Coordinator/Program Support position combines the responsibilities of collecting and maintaining performance data of a grant-funded program with supporting the Adult Education Program.
This is a part-time position.
Essential Functions: Enroll students face to face and over the phone in a courteous and welcoming manner. Maintain student administrative files. Support the program orientation for new students. Conduct student assessments as required for programs. Assist with GED testing through Pearson at both Arkansas City Main Campus and Winfield Correctional facility. Maintain the state adult education database and ensure that all data is current and reports are accurate. Coordinate with Adult Education instructors, CTE instructors, and area agencies. Attend staff development meetings and conferences. Obtain necessary professional development, as determined by the director. Assist with the planning of the GED graduation ceremony and reception. Maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees, vendors and/or any other representatives of external organization. Assist with promotion and social media for the program. Comply with all College policies and procedures Assist the Adult Education Program Director by performing other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to organize, coordinate and work effectively within a team approach. Strong English language skills (spelling, word usage and meaning, etc.) Computer literate (understanding of the Windows environment and MS Office Products) Ability to work independently, as well as on a team. Ability to work and maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Good communications skills, both written and oral. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Work well under deadline pressures. Excellent human relations skills. Ability to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Required Education Background:
High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree, preferred.
Required Experience:
Clerical experience and data entry, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; ability to move freely around the campus and outreach centers; ability to lift up to 20 pounds; ability to bend, stoop, reach and grasp as required to perform responsibilities; ability to drive motor vehicle; and ability to work on the computer for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Work performed in an office environment and classroom.
