Job Title: Test Automation Engineer, Playwright, C# & .NET Location: Hartford, CT (2 weeks compulsory office) Experience: 8-10 years Client: Insurance Role summary: Automation Test Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright and .NET technologies and API testing using Rest Assured. You will design, develop and execute automated test scripts to ensure high quality software delivery across web applications built on the Microsoft stack. Key Responsibilities
Design and develop UI automated test scripts using Playwright with C#.NET Design and develop API automated test scripts using Rest Assured Collaborate with developers and QA leads to understand business and functional requirements Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins) Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks Identify test scenarios suitable for automation and prioritize accordingly Perform functional regression and end-to-end testing of the application under test Document test cases, bugs, and test execution results clearly Participate in code reviews and ensure automation best practices Troubleshoot failures and identify root causes quickly and effectively Required Skills
8+ years of experience in test automation Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using C# Solid understanding of .NET Framework/.NET Core Experience testing REST APIs and using tools like Rest Assured or automated API testing frameworks Proficient with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions Experience in writing end-to-end and integration tests in .NET Familiarity with BDD frameworks like SpecFlow (optional) Strong debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills Exposure to containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes) is an advantage Knowledge of SQL and working with databases Soft Skills
Good verbal and written communication Ability to work independently and in an Agile/Scrum team environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good to Have Skills
