YMCA at KIPP DC (various locations) Compensation:
$20 per hour Schedule:
Part-Time | Mornings/Evening Hours | School Year
The YMCA at KIPP DC is hiring dedicated and enthusiastic
Group Leaders for our School Age Child Care program . This is a meaningful opportunity to positively impact children's lives in a supportive and collaborative afterschool environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage school-age children in recreational, academic, and enrichment activities Create a safe and stimulating environment for all participants Plan and implement daily lessons and activities that support social-emotional and academic growth Provide guidance and positive behavior support Maintain communication with families and program staff Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times Qualifications:
Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or childcare setting High school diploma or GED required; relevant coursework or degree preferred Strong interpersonal and behavior management skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience fostering an environment for children of all abilities is valued. Schedule:
Monday-Friday Before Care
6:30am-8:00am and or After Care
2:30pm-6:30pm KIPP DC Site Locations:
Shaw Campus: 421 P St. NW Webb Campus: 1375 Mt. Olivet Rd. NE Smilow Campus: 5300 Blaine St. NE Douglass Campus: 2600 Douglass Rd. SE Wheeler Campus: 3301 Wheeler Rd. SE Benning Campus: 4801 Benning Road SE We offer the following benefits:
