Avionics Technician
We are seeking skilled Avionics Technicians to join our team at a large MRO facility in Bridgeport, WV. This central service center specializes in CRJ 200, 400, 700, and 900 series aircraft. Candidates will engage in heavy avionics work, including installation, troubleshooting, wire harness fabrication, and modification. Responsibilities: Perform heavy avionics work on aircraft, including installation, troubleshooting, wire harness fabrication, and modification. Work on CRJ 200, 400, 700, and 900 series aircraft at a central service center. Complete work orders within specific timeframes in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in corporate jet or commercial aircraft. Experience with military aircraft maintenance, especially Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections. FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) or Airframe (A) License preferred. GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certification preferred. Certification from Avionics, Electric A/C Technical school or equivalent military training is preferred. Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be comfortable with 12-hour shift work, including days, nights, and weekends. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Possess own tools. Ability to work under time constraints and independently. Work Environment: Work in a heavy MRO environment supporting heavy C/D checks on CRJ aircraft for regional airlines. The fast-paced atmosphere requires individuals who can work under time constraints. The facility operates 24/7 with a 'southern swing shift' schedule: 4 days on (12-hour shifts) followed by 3 days off, alternating weekly. Enjoy a casual dress code with optional steel-toed shoes. Standard PPE, including safety glasses/goggles, is required on the shop floor. Additional PPE may be required depending on the task. Safety training is provided, and the facility emphasizes a safety-first approach. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Bridgeport, West Virginia.
