Senior Cloud Solution Architect - Cloud + AI Infrastructure , you will lead technical engagements that enable customers to design, deploy, and optimize Cloud and AI solutions. By providing strategic guidance and removing roadblocks, you will help customers accelerate their transformation using Microsoft technologies on the Microsoft platform. This is a customer-facing position where you will own the technical relationship and collaborate closely with both customer and internal teams. Responsibilities Operates according to required operational excellence and proven practice standards throughout all sales stages and tools of record. Collaborates with Microsoft and customer/partner teams through on-strategy delivery to achieve objectives and increase satisfaction. Proactively manages business and technical risks, applies governance principles, and communicates and minimizes risks. Ensures compliance with industry and Microsoft guidelines and prioritizes among competing demands to align with business priorities and goals. Delivers solutions in line with company methodologies (e.g., value-based deliverables, advice, training, technical validation). Supports long-term organizational adoption to increase customer satisfaction and drive consumption. Guides customers/partners toward well-architected, secure, resilient, AI-enabled, and cost- and performance-optimized solutions to increase retention and expansion opportunities. Provides feedback to Unified Delivery Team on content. Identifies opportunities for Consumption, Usage, and Unified expansion at scale based on business value and Microsofts value proposition. Listens to customers/partners, maps architecture to business outcomes, and captures opportunities in appropriate systems to execute aligned with the Customer Engagement Model. Identifies, escalates, and mitigates blockers to accelerate deployment and value realization. Applies domain knowledge to address requirements and constraints.

Customer Centricity

Acts as the voice of the customer/partner, sharing insights with engineering teams, product offerings teams, and internal communities. Identifies patterns of feedback across customers/partners/territories/industries and leverages them to develop strategic, actionable insights. Presents business cases to program managers to influence product roadmaps and drive initiatives as appropriate. Translates customer/partner problems into industry solutions aligned with Microsoft product and platform strategy, and explains how they meet outcomes and ROI goals. Helps customers adopt cross-solution area strategies and builds relationships with technical and business decision makers. Engages with CIO, CISO, and other CXO roles to bridge security, compliance, and risk requirements as needed. Defines customer/partner conditions of success and drives a seamless, connected experience. Anticipates and addresses dissatisfaction and unmet needs, and executes strategies to improve value realization and transformation acceleration.

Partner Specialization

Identifies and prioritizes opportunities that align with revenue goals and orchestrates growth of solution utilization with partners. Provides assistance with partner and sales teams to clarify opportunities through proof of concept and technical pre-sales support. Understands solution-area market opportunities and collaborates with Global Partner Solutions (GPS) stakeholders to translate opportunities into actions. Guides partners in developing repeatable offerings and advises them during initial customer implementations.

Technical Leadership

Leverages market insights to drive upskilling and certifications; models technical readiness and influences teams to improve readiness. Acts as a mentor and leads readiness activities. Identifies gaps in delivery and communicates them to stakeholders; contributes to framework and methodology improvements; provides thought leadership to customers, partners, and internal communities. Leads virtual teams around technologies and customer challenges; shares strategic and technical input with technical teams and communities. Contributes to IP development and participates in external events to elevate Microsoft brand.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience

Other Requirements

Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role due to the nature of the roles job duties.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (internal or external) 6+ years experience leading technical projects. Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google).

Compensation

IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD 106,400 - 203,600 per year. There is a different range for specific locations (SF Bay Area and NYC) with base pay ranges USD 137,600 - 222,600. IC5 - The typical base pay range across the U.S. is USD 130,900 - 251,900 per year. For SF Bay Area and NYC, ranges USD 165,600 - 272,300.
