About the Role
As a Store Manager, youll be responsible for the overall omni customer experience in your store, ensuring high visual and commercial standards aligned with store format, regional, and global strategies. You will lead the full store team to excel, fostering an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit. You will analyze sales data, follow up on performance, and create plans to optimize results and profits.
A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are the same, but typical responsibilities include: Managing the total omni customer experience, ensuring visual and commercial standards are met Representing the H&M brand positively during customer interactions Establishing, analyzing, and following up on sales and budget goals, creating plans to improve results Providing personal customer service and guiding customers through fashion stories Promoting our Customer Loyalty App and sustainability initiatives Scheduling staff in line with sales forecasts and commercial activities Maintaining routines in fitting rooms and checkout areas Identifying commercial opportunities, maintaining competitor awareness Managing store maintenance efficiently Handling administrative routines for people and operations Fashion & Trend Awareness Staying updated on fashion trends, styles, brands, competitors, and influencers Ensuring the team provides product and fashion knowledge to customers Understanding the local market, customer base, competition, and fashion trends Team & Development Talent and performance management, including recruiting, onboarding, and development Conducting performance evaluations and succession planning Sharing knowledge and skills with the team Collaborating with area and store leadership teams Planning and scheduling team activities Communicating regularly to motivate and inform staff Ensuring compliance with procedures, routines, security, and legal requirements Participating in onboarding, training, and development programs Retail Operations/Visual & Commercial Execution Maintaining a clean and organized store environment Ensuring high-quality visual and product presentation Managing stock levels and providing input on allocation Supporting daily opening and closing routines Overseeing the full garment cycle and fitting routines Utilizing in-store services and technology effectively Maintaining accurate price signage and store information Who You Are A strong leader who enjoys responsibility and team development Confident in coaching, development, and communication Experienced in retail management and operations Capable of working with data, statistics, and problem-solving
