Legal Assistant Position
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join a respected plaintiff law firm in Chesterfield, Missouri. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys and staff by handling administrative, research, and clerical tasks, ensuring smooth case management and excellent client service. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive case management support, including scheduling, preparing documents, organizing files, and managing court filings. Conduct legal research and draft correspondence relevant to ongoing cases. Maintain and update client files, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. Liaise professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed. Coordinate schedules, manage deadlines, and prepare attorneys for court proceedings or depositions. Assist with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, timelines, and other essential materials. Review electronic documents and manage e-discovery tasks. Facilitate discovery processes, including drafting and organizing discovery requests and responses. Requirements: 13 years of experience in a legal assistant role, preferably within plaintiff litigation. Proficiency in civil litigation procedures, including e-filing and court filings. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience with legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in handling sensitive information. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with discovery processes, including requests, responses, and e-discovery tools.
