LHH is working with a dynamic and fast-paced employment litigation firm in Emeryville, CA in seeking a skilled Paralegal with at least 3 years of experience in employment law. The role is hybrid, requiring three days onsite and two days remote per week. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal to join a collaborative legal team and contribute to high-impact litigation cases involving wage and hour claims, PAGA, and FLSA matters.
Compensation:
$80,000 to $100,000 annually along with comprehensive benefits Job Type:
Full-Time, Direct Hire, Hybrid: 3 days in-office Responsibilities
Support attorneys throughout the litigation process, including case management from intake to trial preparation Draft and format legal documents including motions, notices, and correspondence Conduct cite checks and prepare Table of Authorities and Table of Contents (TOA/TOC) Manage discovery, including reviewing and organizing documents, preparing discovery responses, and coordinating with clients and experts Assist with legal research and compile evidence for use in court filings Help attorneys prepare for depositions, mediations, and hearings Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and manage court filings (state and federal) Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in employment litigation (plaintiff or defense) Prior exposure to wage and hour, PAGA, and/or FLSA litigation strongly preferred Strong working knowledge of California civil procedure Proficiency in drafting legal documents and assisting with motion preparation Confident in cite checking, TOA/TOC formatting, and legal formatting standards Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree or ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred
