MGT is seeking an experienced Facilities Project Manager for a contract assignment in the Greater Providence area. The selected candidate will be employed by MGT and contracted to the Client for the duration of the assignment. A mid-size organization in Rhode Island is seeking a Facilities Project Manager for a one-year contract to lead projects and management efforts in its facilities maintenance operations. This role is responsible for managing, planning, directing, and organizing the work of skilled and semi-skilled tradespeople and external contractors involved in the operation, maintenance, repair, modification, and construction of all buildings owned and operated by the organization. Position

Facilities Project Manager one-year contract in Rhode Island; lead facilities maintenance operations and projects. Reports to senior management; ensure facilities are maintained in optimal condition through regular inspections, preventive maintenance, contingency plans, and oversight of daily operations. Responsibilities

Lead projects and management efforts for facilities maintenance operations. Manage, plan, direct, and organize work of skilled and semi-skilled tradespeople and external contractors. Oversee operation, maintenance, repair, modification, and construction of buildings. Develop preventive maintenance programs and contingency plans; ensure compliance with standards and expectations. Prepare annual departmental goals and budgets; manage support contracts. Ensure safety and compliance with occupational hazards and safety procedures related to building maintenance and construction. Qualifications

Strong communication skills with the ability to present reports in group settings. Experience supervising maintenance records, reports, and supply requisition processes. In-depth knowledge of general building maintenance practices, tools, materials, and computerized preventive maintenance systems. Understanding of occupational hazards and safety procedures related to building maintenance and construction. Ability to plan and supervise a diverse team of skilled and semi-skilled workers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to draft sketches or plans for building improvements or alterations; ability to interpret blueprints, working drawings, and sketches. Skill in estimating required materials for maintenance work. Familiarity with mechanical systems and common tools and materials. Must pass a background investigation and maintain eligibility as a condition of employment; valid drivers license and insurability required and must be maintained. Education/Experience

Bachelors degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required. At least two (2) years of experience in a leadership role involving building and/or plant maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Physical Requirements

Ability to routinely lift or carry items weighing up to 15 pounds. Capable of prolonged standing, squatting, kneeling, stooping, and walking. Ability to sit for extended periods; frequent use of a computer and keyboard. Primarily a climate-controlled office setting; occasional exposure to outdoor elements during inspections or maintenance oversight. One-year contract with the potential for extension depending on organizational needs and performance; full-time, on-site position in Rhode Island. Application Process and Questions
