Job Duties:
Handle all secretarial duties for AAGs, including typing, copying, entering data into NYMatters, and reviewing mail. Provide secretarial support for AAGIC's administrative duties. Manage Office of Mental Health (OMH) files received in the office. Communicate with courts and OMH facilities to coordinate hearings and appearances. rrange for the service of legal papers. nswer phone calls as needed. Provide coverage for other administrative staff during their absence.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Work Experience:
No minimum years of experience required.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Punctuality and professionalism. Comfort interacting with the public, attorneys, and support staff.
Miscellaneous Information:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break. Interviews will be conducted in person. Training will be provided to ensure familiarity with office processes and tools. The position is located in downtown Binghamton. Parking options include a $95/month parking ramp, private parking lots (prices vary), and limited duration metered street parking. Public transportation is available through Broome County Transit, with a terminal a few blocks away and a drop-off location near the State Office Building. Training will be provided to ensure familiarity with office processes and tools.
