Our flagship Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) program provides paid transitional work experience, transitional housing, advanced occupational training, and comprehensive supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Doe Fund is also one of New York Citys largest nonprofit developers of permanent affordable and supportive housing, with more than 1,900 units in operation or pre-development. The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $73 million and a full-time staff of nearly 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs. We are seeking a Social Service Supervisor for The Doe Fund's newest permanent supportive housing for homeless individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The housing program is designed to provide long-term residential care and twenty-four-hour supportive services in a community environment that maximizes independence while ensuring their physical and emotional security and well-being. This 98-unit residence will provide housing for 49 individuals referred by the New York City HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA), and the remaining 49 units will be apartments for moderate-income households. The Social Service Supervisor will provide clinical and administrative supervision to members of the clinical team. The successful candidate will have strong clinical and supervisory skills along with experience working with the HIV/AIDS population and the ability to cover some evening hours. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Program Director with the day-to-day operations of the supportive housing program Conduct regular supervision (individual and group) with the members of the clinical team and maintain an accurate record of each supervisory meeting Review referral applications and set up interviews for prospective residents Assist the Program Director with the completion of various reports Conduct regular chart audits to ensure compliance with the standards of The Doe Fund and the AIDS Institute Monitor and review resident Service Plans and ensure that other charting documents are recorded in an appropriate and timely manner Perform or supervise the performance of psychosocial assessments for each resident Co-facilitate team meetings and case conferences Maintain a directory of resources on HIV/AIDS services, substance abuse, mental health treatment, and services for seniors Collaborate with all departments as it relates to the program; assist in coordinating care and referrals with community agencies and hospitals Assist with the development of quality assurance guidelines and procedures for the Clinical team Responsible for the performance appraisals of clinical staff Attend all administrative meetings in the absence of the Program Director Responsible for program oversight in the absence of the Program Director Other duties as assigned The Ideal Candidate: A Masters Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited college or university. LMSW or LMHC Minimum of five years of post-Masters experience, 2-3 years of which should include supervisory experience The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate staff Excellent clinical and case management skills Sensitivity to community issues and needs Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written Strong ethical standards, confidentiality, and personal integrity Flexibility with schedule to cover some evening activities Computer proficiency (i.e., email, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Interested?
