The ideal candidate will perform a variety of essential tasks within the pathology unit, including dissection, evisceration, and histologic sampling of anatomical specimens. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills to maintain high standards of specimen photography and documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform dissection, evisceration, and description of autopsy specimens.Conduct frozen sections and other intra-operative consultations according to established protocols.Coordinate the acquisition of tissue specimens for research purposes.Maintain digital files and ensure high standards of specimen photography.Assist in specimen storage, reagent maintenance, and equipment upkeep.Review, interpret, and present findings as necessary.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a pathology or clinical laboratory setting.Experience with bone marrow sampling, frozen sectioning, and tumor triage.Proficient in obtaining and preparing tissue samples for histological processing.Familiarity with charting systems (Epic preferred).Ability to obtain and review patient clinical information (e.g., scans, lab results).Strong organizational and communication skills.References from two supervisors or above are required.Unit and Facility DetailsThis position will involve working in a diverse environment with patients across all age groups, including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
