Western New England University . The Student Telecounseling Admissions Representatives (STARs) initiate and maintain telephone contact with prospective students throughout the admission process. They enter data from conversations to maintain rapport, develop a connection between the prospective student and the University, and assess the students interest level. This role requires familiarity with the Universitys characteristics, programs (academic and co-curricular), student body, and admissions information. STARs should have experience at the University, involvement in student organizations, honor societies, athletics, leadership roles, etc., and an understanding of campus resources related to academics, career advisement, social services, disability support, counseling, and public safety. Work independently with minimal supervision. Be knowledgeable about the University, its programs, and admissions details. Use interactive computer software effectively. Communicate courteously and professionally with prospective students, parents, and others. Maintain confidentiality of student records and personal information. Communicate effectively via telephone, in writing, and interpersonally. Must be in good disciplinary standing. Additional Information
