Position: Education Coordinator, Outpatient - Women's Services Talent Area: Registered Nurse Full/Part Time: Full time Location: Houston, TX, US Shift: 8a - 5p Job ID: 418071 We are seeking an Education Coordinator for Outpatient Women's Services, someone eager to grow with our organization. This role involves ensuring effective education and training of clinical staff at the practice level and supporting the implementation of centralized educational components, including orientation, annual competence assessments, staff development, student affiliations, and performance improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include: Designing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating educational programs for clinical and nonclinical staff. Developing and coordinating employee orientation programs, scheduling and monitoring new employee progression. Conducting annual learning needs assessments for the department. Creating training curricula based on assessed needs. Identifying high-risk clinical competencies and developing targeted educational interventions. Reviewing and updating job role orientation pathways and competency documents annually. Instructing CPR/BLS programs in collaboration with clinical training. Evaluating educational program effectiveness and providing annual summaries. Mentoring staff in orientation and program delivery. Managing special projects and performance improvement initiatives. Coordinating readiness initiatives within the department. Providing nursing consultation and clinical expertise to facilitate operations and patient care. Participating in respiratory fit testing in compliance with safety standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in nursing or an associate degree recognized by the Texas BON, or current enrollment in a BSN or MSN program with verified agreement. RN licensure by the Texas Board of Nursing or through the Nursing Licensure Compact. BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing experience, with 1 year of preceptor/educator experience preferred.
