Policy Servicing Specialist I
Under close supervision, processes quotes, applications, renewals and/or basic endorsements for designated lines of business. Provides service to underwriters, agents, and business partners to respond to inquiries regarding processing and underwriting support. The successful candidate will work from our Knowledge Park location, in Harborcreek, PA. Starting salary is $16.37/$31,926.00 Develops and applies basic knowledge of rules, rates and procedures for quotes, applications, endorsements and/or renewals of designated lines of business. Enters and updates policy records, applying appropriate rules and rates. Performs review of applications, renewals, and endorsements to identify missing or incomplete information. Demonstrates understanding of underlying policies' charges and amendments. Corresponds with agents and underwriters. Utilizes policy dashboards to manage tasks, referrals, and various workload functions. Services inbound and places outbound phone calls from internal and external stakeholders regarding status, procedures, inquiries, etc. Collaborates with business partners to document and process non-renewals, cancellations, and cancel for cause requests according to state guidelines within ERIE's footprint. Actively listens to customers to gain an understanding of their needs, clarify information, and offer solutions by using knowledge of products, services, and policies to assist with inquiries. Acts as resource for questions or problems related to internal processes or systems for agents, underwriters, management and other business areas as needed. Attends appropriate training and informational meetings to learn and maintains a working knowledge of ERIE policies, procedures and processing systems. Ability to enter data with speed and accuracy required. Basic knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, database software preferred. Basic knowledge of various online systems, such as Agent Exchange, BUNDL and ERIEbooks, etc. preferred. Willingness to pursue professional insurance/technology courses preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to move over 50 lbs using lifting aide equipment; Never Climbing/accessing heights; Never Driving; Rarely Lifting/Moving 0-20 lbs; Occasional (
