Certerra has immediate opportunities for a Group Leader of Environmental Services in New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona. You will manage projects, mentor staff, and expand business activity. We are looking for a candidate with a broad range of experience spanning due diligence, NEPA environmental reviews, building science evaluations, remedial investigations and corrective actions, underground storage tank management, indoor air quality, asbestos and lead-based paint services, and industrial hygiene consulting. Experience in the construction industry is a plus. This role will be working out of our Certerra Southwest division. Your Impact Your responsibilities will include supervising personnel and projects, leading field activities, reviewing data, and developing recommendations aligned with industry standards and regulations. You will review technical reports for accuracy and completeness, mentor staff, and support their professional development. You will also participate in hiring processes. Your business development activities will involve managing client relationships, influencing growth, and preparing proposals for government contracts. Key Responsibilities Promote and expand service capabilities in asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, environmental exposures, construction/infrastructure management, and building sciences. Collaborate on cross-discipline projects regionally. Manage budgets, schedules, and project deliverables. Mentor junior staff on performance and data quality. Provide guidance on local, state, and federal regulations. Requirements: Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, or industrial hygiene. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training. Professional registration (engineer, geologist, CIH, CSP) is a plus but not required. AHERA certifications for asbestos-related roles. EPA or State certifications for lead-based paint risk assessment. Minimum 5 years experience in environmental, building sciences, or industrial hygiene. Valid drivers license.
