Group Leader of Environmental Services

in

New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona . You will manage projects, mentor staff, and expand business activity. We are looking for a candidate with a broad range of experience spanning due diligence, NEPA environmental reviews, building science evaluations, remedial investigations and corrective actions, underground storage tank management, indoor air quality, asbestos and lead-based paint services, and industrial hygiene consulting. Experience in the construction industry is a plus. This role will be working out of our Certerra Southwest division. Your Impact

Your responsibilities will include supervising personnel and projects, directing and leading field activities, reviewing and interpreting data, and developing recommendations consistent with industry standards and regulatory guidelines. You will review technical reports for accuracy, completeness, and conformity to scopes and specifications. As a mentor, you will coach staff on project-related tasks and provide encouragement, advice, and direction on overall task performance. The Group Leader will guide the professional, academic, workplace, and technical growth of staff, assisting junior staff with career development and encouraging training. You will participate in hiring processes for new staff. Your business development activities will involve managing existing client relationships, influencing business growth, and promoting expansion. The Group Leader will design service scopes to meet client needs, develop competitive pricing and budgets, and collaborate on proposals for government contracts. Key Responsibilities

Promote and expand capabilities in asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, environmental exposures, construction/infrastructure management, and building sciences. Participate in cross-disciplinary projects within the office and regionally. Manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, and consultations to meet project and business metrics. Coach and mentor junior staff on performance, data quality, and reporting. Provide guidance on local, state, and federal regulations affecting work practices and project outcomes. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, geology, engineering, or industrial hygiene. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training with current updates. Professional registration as an engineer, geologist, Certified Industrial Hygienist, or Certified Safety Professional (preferred but not required). AHERA accreditations for asbestos-related roles. EPA or State certifications for lead-based paint risk assessment. Minimum 5 years experience in environmental, building sciences, and industrial hygiene. Valid drivers license.
