Medical Assistant Position

This role involves delivering high-quality, team-based patient care under the supervision of a clinician, focusing on both clinical and administrative tasks. The position supports chronic disease management and pediatric care, with specialty training as needed. Responsibilities include: Welcome patients and maintain a clean and safe environment. Ensure proper supplies and infection control are in place. Record vital signs and notify clinicians of any abnormalities. Interview patients to update records and gather relevant medical documents. Assist with exams, screenings, procedures, and emergency responses under clinician supervision. Reconcile records, educate patients, and administer injections following safety protocols. Handle calls, correspondence, refills, referrals, forms, and scheduling efficiently. Perform phlebotomy and process lab samples. Actively participate in patient-centered care and meet organizational quality standards. Essential skills include: Proficiency in medical assisting and patient care. Experience with phlebotomy and medical terminology. Familiarity with electronic health records. Strong customer service skills. Additional skills and qualifications include: MA diploma/certification/registration or 3 years experience as a Medical Assistant. Active BLS certification. Current, valid driver's license. 1+ year of experience with Medical Assisting in a healthcare setting. The work environment is 100% onsite in a healthcare clinic located in Pembroke Pines, FL. The shift schedule is Monday-Thursday from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and every Saturday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The pay range for this position is $21992.88 - $31060.12/yr.
