Overview: The Material Planner is an advanced role in material planning, building on the foundation established in the Associate Material Planner position. This role involves overseeing material planning activities, including shortage monitoring, purchase order management, and stakeholder coordination, with increased expectations and responsibilities. A deeper knowledge of SAP and enhanced analytical skills are essential for success in this position.2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and Responsibilities:Percentage1Daily Shortage Report Management:Monitor and update the shortage report to track material shortages, collaborating with procurement to resolve issues promptly.20%2Stakeholder Coordination and Relationship Management:Engage with internal teams, including Production, Production Planning and Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Design Engineering, Warehouse, Procurement, and Global Supply Chain. Facilitate effective communication to align supply with operational needs.20%3Release Purchase Requisitions:Coordinate the timely release of purchase requisitions in alignment with the Master Production Plan (MPP) and demand, utilizing SAP to ensure materials are available as needed.20%4Purchase Order Book Management:Oversee the maintenance and review of Purchase Order Books to ensure accuracy and compliance with procurement processes.15%5Planning with Advanced Provision:Ensure that material is effectively planned in alignment with the Master Production Plan (MPP), anticipating future needs and adjustments to meet production schedules.15%6Meeting Participation:Attend relevant meetings to discuss material planning, address concerns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance planning processes.5%7Working Capital Optimization:Support initiatives to reduce working capital by maintaining optimal inventory levels and minimizing excess stock.5%Total100%Qualifications for Position: A. EducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management. B. Experience1-3 years of relevant experience. C. Competencies & AttributesProficiency in SAP (with more extensive knowledge than at the associate level), MRP, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. D.
