Avionics Repair Technician
The Avionics Repair Technician is responsible for assessing, repairing, testing and documenting repair material in an FAA regulated environment. They will participate in high-level technical work with little or no instruction. What You Will Do: Utilize limited variety of microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro-optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment, including computers and lasers. Follow written procedures and demonstrate proper use of hand tools and measuring devices. Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Troubleshooting and testing of repair units. Use electronic test and troubleshooting equipment. Utilizes SAP and other MRO computer programs. Participate on project teams. Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of complex products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where ingenuity and judgments are required. Must be highly-motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Utilize analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. Successfully work in a team to support work capacity in a fast-paced environment. Conduct written and verbal communication with technicians, engineering, and leadership within the MRO. Responsible for moderate level of planning. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a HS Diploma with a minimum of 2 year of relevant experience. U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.6 Must have an electronics background with 2+ years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment. Qualifications We Prefer: AAS degree in electronics and/or prior military experience strongly preferred. Must have an electronics background with 3-5 years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment. Complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment. 2+ years' experience with aviation manufacturing or repair is preferred. Must be able to follow written procedures and demonstrate proper use of hand tools and measuring devices. Effective verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work in a team to support work capacity in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. The ability to take direction from more experienced coworkers, leads and supervisors.
