Vaccine Analytical Development Biologist

We are seeking a Vaccine Analytical Development Biologist to work on-site with the Vaccine Production Program at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)/National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD. The contractor shall: Support the Analytical Development department of the Vaccine Production Program (VPP) in the Vaccine Research Center. Independently perform uplc-based content and identification assays for virus vaccines, recombinant proteins and virus-like particles that may be used as clinical vaccine candidates. Contribute to the clinical development of a variety of vaccine candidates by independently performing multiple bioassays. Provide assay support and assay development for cGMP product release and characterization. Participate in the development of assays for protein characterization utilizing Protein A-UPLC and Size Exclusion-UPLC as well as support bioassay development for virus-like-particle vaccines. Develop, characterize and transfer assays to QC for product release. REQUIREMENTS. The contractor ideally would have: Minimum of bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or closely related discipline. Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a clinical or research laboratory using analytical equipment automation/instruments and method qualification for vaccine and related projects. Experience writing and reviewing method qualification/validation protocols and reports, method transfers, SOPs, QC data packets and other process documents. Please apply online.
