The Marketing + Communications Specialist position is responsible for a variety of marketing, technology, and communication tasks with the Marketing + Business Development Team. This position will support the Director of Marketing + Communications with firm initiatives. Reports to Director of Marketing + Communications.
Responsibilities
Create weekly newsletter on firm content and events to reduce internal notes
Manage Insights + Events section on dglaw.com to ensure content is up to date and consistent
Manage firm social media accounts, ensuring timely updates and engagement with followers
Manage attorney article submissions, review of content and internal/external promotions
Proofread and edit content to ensure clarity, consistency and adherence to style guidelines
Review all social media content for style/tone consistency
Monitor media coverage and analyze effectiveness
Assist attorneys in crafting personal social media posts for insights, rankings and awards
Maintain and update attorney bios and descriptions
Create compelling content for press releases, newsletters and social media
Create and send email marketing campaigns surrounding new content
Research social media trends and support communications initiatives and campaigns
Work with attorneys on developing new attorney bios
Support managers work on PR report including promotions and publication
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Bachelors degree, preferably in marketing or communications with 4-5 years related work experience, preferably in a law firm.
Outstanding proofreading, oral/written communications and interpersonal skills required.
Must be able to work with all levels of personnel from staff to leadership as well as work independently and as a team.
Possess a positive, can-do attitude and requires strong organizational skills.
Must be customer focused in approach and possess a strong work ethic.
Must be able to handle a variety of projects under tight deadlines and manage stress effectively.
Experience and Proficiency Required: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Experience or Working Knowledge a Plus: iManage (or other document management system), email marketing platform or CRM platform.
