Azamara is a destination-focused cruise line known for immersive travel experiences, exceptional service, and longer stays in port. We're looking for a proactive and strategic PR & Communications Lead to elevate Azamara's brand through earned media, executive visibility, and thoughtful communications. In this role, you'll drive public relations efforts and support broader communication needs across internal and guest-facing channels. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and agency partners to help shape how Azamara shows up in the media, to our guests, and to our employees

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & Media Engagement

Drive the execution of Azamara's global PR strategy in partnership with PR agencies. Pitch and secure earned media coverage across consumer, trade, and lifestyle outlets. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media and influencers. Draft and edit press releases, pitches, statements, Q&As, and executive bios. Monitor media coverage and industry trends to inform strategy and spot opportunities. Prepare executives for media interviews, speaking engagements, and press opportunities. Executive & Internal Communications

Support executive visibility through talking points, bios, and public-facing content. Assist with internal messaging around leadership updates, milestones, and announcements. Ensure brand voice and tone are consistent across internal and external communications. Guest & Crisis Communications

Assist in crafting clear, on-brand messaging during service disruptions or urgent events. Coordinate with Guest Relations, Hotel Operations, and Legal to ensure alignment and timeliness. Provide support for occasional guest-facing comms (e.g., pre-cruise notices or service alerts) when PR or reputational impact is a factor. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field. 3+ years of experience in PR, media relations, or external communications. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Demonstrated success working with media and agency partners. Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience supporting executive communications or public speaking prep. Preferred

Experience in the cruise, travel, or hospitality industry. Familiarity with global or multi-market communications. Exposure to crisis communications and brand reputation management.
