Specialty Product Preparer
This position is responsible for preparing juice and other specialty products for purchase. Essential duties and responsibilities include properly setting up and preparing the area for specialized food products, reading materials that accompany product demonstrations to understand program scope, instructions, production requirements, and program compliance, following all safety requirements when using equipment, adhering to all required tasks and procedures related to safe food handling, and accurately completing all reporting requirements. The role also involves regularly checking the product event schedule and email for upcoming activities, corporate news updates, event changes, and supervisor requests, completing certifications and attending special training sessions as required, and maintaining a clean, sterile, and safe work area using proper cleaning chemicals and equipment. Additional requirements include previous experience in product marketing, product demonstrations, or in the food, beverage, or restaurant industry, the ability to safely and effectively prepare juice or other specialty products for purchase, and the ability to conduct demonstration and sampling events of other products as needed. Applicable state and local food safety certification or license is required. Physical demands include the ability to continuously lift a minimum of 50 lbs. several times per day, push a wheeled machine to/from the sales floor, prepare foods using produce, machinery and sharp utensils, stand for extended periods of time each day, work varied hours, climb with use of a 6' step stool, read instructions to ensure safety and food safety compliance, and work in environments with exposure to cold, refrigerated conditions, and hot equipment. Supervisory responsibilities are none. The work environment is a retail store with regular interaction with co-workers, management team members, and customers, moderate to high noise levels, and exposure to cold, refrigerated conditions, food products, and cleaning chemicals. Language skills include English as the primary language skill, with bilingual skills required based on business necessity.
