Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Preschool Director located in Jupiter, FL. The Assistant Preschool Director will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the preschool, including curriculum development, staff supervision, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. Additional tasks include budget management, supporting early childhood education initiatives, and coordinating activities and programs for children. The role demands effective communication with staff, parents, and children to maintain a positive and enriching learning environment.

Education & Credentials
Associate or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (Masters preferred). Florida DCF
45-Hour Training
completed and documented. CDA or higher credential
in Early Childhood Education. Current CPR & First Aid Certification (including infant/child). Completion of FLORIDA D irectors Credential . Professional Experience
Minimum
35 years of teaching experience
in early childhood education (infants through Pre-K). At least
12 years of leadership/management experience
in a licensed childcare center. Proven ability to
mentor, coach, and evaluate teachers
aligned with CLASS, Apple Accreditation, and Department of Health compliance standards. Experience with
bilingual programming
or supporting ELL students is highly preferred. Familiarity with
accreditation processes
(Apple, NAEYC, etc.) and
compliance documentation
(ELC, DCF, DOH). Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
Strong ability to
collaborate with the Director
while also taking initiative in daily operations. Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills
with staff, parents, and children. Ability to build and sustain a
positive school culture
where staff feel supported and families feel welcomed. Conflict resolution, team-building, and staff morale-boosting experience. Professional, compassionate, and aligned with GMPAs
school family philosophy . Administrative & Operational Skills
Skilled at
scheduling staff , monitoring ratios, and ensuring classroom coverage. Experience with
meal counts, van/transportation safety , and maintaining DOH/DOT compliance records. Strong organizational skills for
paperwork, binders, inspections, and Apple Accreditation evidence tracking . Ability to step into classrooms and
model high-quality instruction
when needed. Personal Qualities
