Position: Jr. Paralegal Plaintiff Personal Injury Location: Houston, Texas Near Allen Pkwy Schedule: 100% In-Office Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary up to $75K Exceptional bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package Paid Over Time Position Overview: This role requires a professional, organized self-starter with a minimum of 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proactive work ethic, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and team members are essential. The Paralegal will provide direct support to a designated group of attorneys and paralegals, managing multiple high-volume cases in both state and federal courts, as well as cases filed in other jurisdictions. This position plays a key role in all phases of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, mediations, trials, and arbitrations. Essential Job Functions: Manage plaintiff personal injury litigation cases from file to trial. Draft and prepare legal documents including petitions, answers, discovery, motions, legal memoranda, pre-trial filings, waivers, and case briefs. Coordinate discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, disclosures, and requests for admissions. Compile deposition and trial notebooks, assist in case investigation, conduct client interviews, and support mediation and settlement processes. Request medical records, prepare LOPs, and communicate with medical providers and lienholders. Proofread and format all materials accurately and consistently. Assist attorneys in hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials. Collaborate with and provide support to other paralegals across the team as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 3+ years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience. In-depth knowledge of state and federal court practices, procedures, and deadlines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
