Cardiovascular Perfusion And Ecls Sales Representative

To gain market share in the cardiovascular perfusion and ecls business by promoting, selling, and servicing medtronic's products in an assigned territory as well as to manage the achievement of unit and revenue goals within the respective territory. Position responsibilities: Conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service medtronic perfusion, blood management, and ecls products to existing and competitive customers based on a strategic territory plan. Develop, implement, and effectively follow through with a quarterly strategic sales plan to achieve sales goals and objectives. Create a detailed forecast with customer commitments as a measure of success. Identify, qualify, and close new and existing customers consistent with established sales plans and key accounts. Develop and maintain a high level of technical expertise in cardiopulmonary/cardiac procedures and ecm/ecls related clinical topics. Must be able to in-service and provide basic clinical support on all ec/ecls products in an autonomous fashion in order to provide initial and ongoing educational support and training to customers irrespective of clinical specialist support. Work collaboratively with your ecls clinical specialist to support our customers. Position will require customer product/therapy related triage to address acute ec/ecls questions/concerns. Provide feedback and information on competitive activity, changes in markets, distribution, and pricing. Identify and communicate to other departments (i.e. r&d, operations, and marketing) suggestions for new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications based upon customer needs and requirements. Complete all administrative reporting accurately, in a timely manner, and in the requested format (i.e. expense reports, account profiles, and analysis, daily planners, weekly activity, competitive updates, mpowers, mpxrs, fcas, pho's, teams spreadsheet request, trunk stock, salesforce inputs). Ensure input and accuracy of daily crm (ie.salesforce) ec/ecls activity report. Manage time, assets, and resources in a cost-effective manner; manage territory budget in accordance with the strategic territory plan and within the guidelines of the regional manager. Assist where applicable in the management of customer inventory including bos. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, all divisions' products, and the products of competitive companies; gain knowledge of the strategies of our competitors through interactions with others. Participates in training when appropriate. Must have: Bachelor's degree 5 years medical industry sales experience (selling physician preference products) in hospital environment with selling to cardiac surgeons and/or perfusionist/ecls clinical staff or 7 years as an active clinical perfusionist, respiratory therapist, rn with ecm experience, (ecmo coordinator a plus) Nice to have: Ecmo experience Preference will be given to local qualified candidates and candidates with medtronic experience Experience selling to surgeons, perfusionists, ecls related physicians and support team Experience selling in the cardiac operating room Track record of success in high-pressure, sales environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Outstanding sales and negotiation skills Demonstrated ability to effectively forecast for results Ability to successfully develop and implement strategic territory plan for both maintenance of existing business and driving incremental growth Ability to learn highly technical products and equipment. Demonstrate ability to in-service and clinically support all ec/ecls products on your own Physical job requirements: Frequent required travel to customer clinics, hospitals and offsite meetings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile. Available/willing to work/travel weekends and evenings. This position may require on-call time. Continuous verbal and written communication. Ability to transport product/equipment from car to hospital on your own. Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day. Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease, and radiation. Ability to travel extensively with ease to attend conferences, customer education events, and training. (approx. 20% of the time) Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory. Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application. Must live in the specified sales territory. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a sales incentive plan (sip), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
