Position Summary: As a Staff Accountant, you will support the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records. Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to build a strong foundation in general accounting while contributing to the success of a growing finance team. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 60% in-office work.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain and update accounting ledgers and financial records Support AR/AP, fixed asset tracking, and inventory accounting as needed Perform general ledger reconciliations and ensure accurate documentation Contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting Assist in the preparation of internal schedules and reports for management Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and resolve discrepancies Support the annual audit process by preparing requested documentation Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives Complete special assignments as directed by the Senior Accountant or Finance leadership
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 1+ years of relevant accounting experience Understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment (60% in-office) Seniority level
