The Ministry
OurCommunity is a ministry of OurCalling, a nonprofit organization that has been serving our neighbors on the streets since 2009. Every job position at OurCalling is a ministry position. At OurCalling, we help our homeless neighbors walk with Jesus and get off the streets. Our vision is to create a community of integrity where people are cared for with dignity and intentionally connected to the body of Christ. OurCommunity Ferris (OCF) will be a 500 home neighborhood development with full wrap-around support onsite. Located on a 280-acre rural property outside of Dallas, it will provide long-term, comprehensive, and relational care for formerly homeless residents who are at higher risk of dying on the streets and need long-term care. At the heart of this community will be a service building with wrap-around support services, including a chapel, a medical clinic, a cafe, mental health care, counseling, and more, all designed to minister to the spiritual, social, and physical needs of our friends. With 500 homes, it will be the largest housing project for the formerly homeless in the history of North Texas.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Office Manager will be responsible for general office and files management, receiving guests and visitors, handling incoming and outgoing mail and calls, and assistance to the Executive Director. This person will coordinate schedules with partner agencies working out of OCF, as well as schedule and coordinate with vendors coming on property to perform work. They will also oversee property management and leases. This person will work in coordination with the Volunteer Coordinator, Advancement Team, Program Team, and Operations Team to maintain the day-to-day flow of activities across the campus.
Office Duties
Reception: Greet and receive guests, answer phones, receive non-monetary donations Ensure residents are checked in and out
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages: Postage Machine, Amazon, UPS, USPS, FedEx, etc) Manage relationship with vendors/contractors (landscaping, maintenance) Coordinate with Operations and Program teams: Be the "hub" for all things at OCF with Advancement Team regarding tours with Volunteer Engagement Manager and OCF Volunteer Coordinator with On-Site Partners and construction crews regarding scheduling and parking
Assist Executive Director with Calendar appointments Files management Other administrative tasks
Steward resources: Update and maintain asset lists Order/maintain office supplies Manage vending machine(s) money (once installed) Deposit checks (under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer, handle physical check deposits including rent, vouchers, etc; this excludes monetary donations to the ministry)
Run errands as needed Other miscellaneous tasks to be determined Property Management Responsibilities
Manage leasing processes, including showing units, processing applications, maintaining files, and executing lease agreements. Manage the leasing portal with guidance from the Leadership Team. Review resident delinquencies and manage collections. Oversee the eviction process. Prepare and present annual department budgets to the Executive Director. Participate in property inspections to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Communicate with the Executive Director regularly regarding property performance. Qualifications
A close and growing relationship as a disciple of Jesus Christ Minimum high school diploma, required High familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail) Skills and Abilities
Three years' of experience in property management, preferred Comfortable walking on rough terrain (over fields) Excellent customer service Self-starter, comfortable working alone and taking initiative to complete tasks Exceptional attention to detail Ability to remain calm even with multiple simultaneous tasks or requests Comfortable with a "start-up" environment Flexible Unafraid to make phone calls Model the 3C's (Caring with dignity, Connecting intentionally, and Creating healthy community) Preferred, but not required:
Bilingual (English, Spanish) Experience with Notion and Yardi

The pay range for this role is:
