Job Type Full-timeDescriptionJob Title: Maintenance Technical Specialist Department: MaintenanceReports To: Maintenance ManagerStatus: Exempt Direct Reports: NoneJob Type: Onsite full timeJob Summary:Provide expert support for equipment repairs, assist with equipment and facility improvements and lead projects that enhance safety, quality and operational efficiencies. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.Main Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned) Provide technical support for maintenance teams in diagnosing and repairing equipment. Ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of equipment and facility improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety. Conduct training sessions work maintenance staff to enhance their technical skills and knowledge of equipment operation.Champion and lead various projects focused on improving safety, quality, operations across the facility.Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, quality and safety to identify opportunities for process improvements. Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including maintenance procedures, equipment manuals and troubleshooting guides. Ensure compliance with company and government safety standards and regulations during all repairs, maintenance and improvement activities. RequirementsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:•5-7 years of experience in a maintenance or technical support role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. •3 or more years' experience in leadership preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:N/AComputer Skills:•Basic excel and word programs. Will be required to complete work orders in within a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) Mathematical Abilities:Intermediate-advanced math skills.Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:•Strong analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability required with orientation for continuous improvement.•Ability to understand and follow written technical procedures/instructions Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning)•Ability to read, write and speak English•Highly effective, articulate communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal effectiveness and the ability to work with all levels in the organization and across cultures•Bilingual English-Spanish preferredOther Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities)•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability work effectively under pressure.•Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams. •Takes initiative, approaches others in a positive and constructive manner, and works well independently to achieve results•Strong expertise in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, with proven ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment. •Demonstrated experience in leading safety, quality, and operational improvement projects•Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals. •Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and automation systems.•Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies. •Experience with computerized Maintenance Management systems (CMMS). Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 pounds individually and team lift 50 pounds. Be able to work in an environment that is climate controlled but is exposed to potential heat, rain, and cold.80% of the time will be spent in the tooling shop and 20% of the time on the production floor completing work related to the position.
