Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled maintenance professional to join our manufacturing team. In this critical role, you will ensure the smooth operation of our production facility by performing essential maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all machinery and equipment. Key Responsibilities:
Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) on production equipment to prevent failures and minimize downtime. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on a wide range of manufacturing equipment. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls to troubleshoot and restore equipment operation quickly and safely. Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment, including performing start-up checks and making necessary adjustments. Accurately document all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and contribute to a culture of safety. Work closely with production managers and operators to understand equipment needs and proactively address potential issues. Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proven experience with preventative maintenance programs.
Technical skills:
Strong proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience with PLCs is a strong plus. Knowledge of industrial safety procedures, including LOTO, confined spaces, and working at heights.
Personal attributes:
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship. Effective communication skills for working with a team and reporting to management.
Physical demands:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods. Ability to lift and move heavy equipment or parts (up to 50 lbs) safely. Capable of working in a manufacturing environment that may be noisy, hot, or cold.
