Join our team at our Minneapolis location in the charming and historic Mill District neighborhood.This is a Sherman Associates owned Hilton franchised location.The Sales Coordinator supports the sales & marketing operations with the goal of providing excellent customer service, building customer relationships, supporting the group sales team, maximizing rates and over-all revenues for the hotel. The Sales Coordinator partners with members of the sales team and hotel management to ensure that clients receive the best experience at the hotel by providing outstanding customer service on behalf of the property and its ownership.Pay: Starting at $20.00 - $23.00/hour. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position; including experience, skills, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.Essential FunctionsResponsible for the intake process of any directgroup inquiries including qualifying business and leveraging technology toproperly manage the inquiry and assigning it to the appropriate team member.Records all appointments, follow-upmeetings, and effectively tracks business leadsMaintains client files to ensure important datesand deadlines are recorded. Creates and effectively manages booking links,send out calendar invites, and handle credit card authorizations and invoicing.Partners with Hospitality Accounting for any paymentoutside of credit card, such as direct bill requests, ACH/wire payments, etc.Completes monthly audit of grouppayments/statuses of any outstanding payment.Review and report on group bookings, includingroom block status and attrition numbers.Partners with Sales Managers to assist with theadministrative needs of the sale.Prepare and distribute daily agendas, clientwelcome notes, and event materials.Accurately prepare, distribute, and support theSales Managers with any BEOs. Responsible for post-event follow up communicationto close out the sale by sending final billing and ensuring positivecommunication to encourage repeat booking. Manage gift certificates, complimentary stays,and amenities.Act as a liaison between sales and otherdepartments, ensuring smooth operations.Produce accurate and timely reports formanagement.Regularly monitors client satisfaction andresolves any outstanding issues to foster relationships and secure futurebusiness.Completesother tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.Experience and SkillsMinimum RequirementsMinimum 1 year of experience in sales oradministrative role, or an equivalent number of years ofeducation and sales experienceExcellent verbal, written and presentationskills; Ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors,external parties, and across internal divisionsShares a passion for the mission, vision, andvalues of Sherman AssociatesSchedule may vary due to the specific needs ofthe hotelJob BenefitsBenefitsSherman Associates strives to lead the market in the benefits we offer.
