Salary:
$310,000 - $390,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Represent a diverse client base in complex commercial disputes across federal and state courts, and alternative dispute resolution venues. Manage all phases of litigation including drafting legal pleadings, handling extensive discovery, engaging in motion practice, and conducting depositions. Prepare for trial and support senior attorneys during trial proceedings. Work closely with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlements. Assist in the development of junior staff members through mentoring and training. Advise clients on legal rights and obligations related to their business operations and disputes. Minimum Position Qualifications:
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic performance. Bar Admission in California (admission in Washington is a bonus). Minimum of 4 years of extensive experience in complex business litigation. Demonstrable experience litigating in a law firm setting for at least 2 years. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to manage large and multifaceted litigation matters autonomously. Preferred Qualifications:
Previous judicial clerkship experience. Strong interpersonal skills and capability for team-oriented practice. Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills. Experience in high-profile litigation matters both at the local and national level. Proven ability to think creatively and solve complex problems. Ability to docket and track all deadlines, and coordinate multiple active cases. Skills:
Exceptional litigation and advocacy skills. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines. Proficient in legal research platforms (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw). Deep understanding of litigation technology and software for trial preparation.
