Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the secondary mortgage market function, including pricing, hedging, loan sales, and pipeline management. Analyze and evaluate investor pricing to determine optimal sale strategies. Develop and maintain relationships with investors, government-sponsored enterprises, and correspondent lenders. Manage loan delivery and execution processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant sales. Monitor and manage pipeline risk through effective hedging and delivery strategies. Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and post-closing teams to ensure loans meet investor requirements. Monitor market trends, interest rates, and economic factors that impact the secondary market. Ensure compliance with all investors, agency, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA). Prepare regular reports on pricing, margins, loan sale performance, and market analysis for senior leadership. Evaluate and implement technology solutions to improve secondary market operations and efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in finance, Economics, Business, or related field (Masters preferred). 5+ years of experience in secondary mortgage markets or capital markets. Deep knowledge of mortgage banking, loan products, and investor guidelines. Experience with pricing engines, hedging strategies, and loan sale execution. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Encompass, Optimal Blue, MCT, Excel). Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
